Lunch/ dinner area stinks really bad that you would want to puke, so imagine the thought of having food there. They mostly do not cook fresh food. It is usually the left over from previous days and smells; but they do not seem to care. Vege options are not enough and good. Room, bathroom, bedsheets, and towels might look clean at first glance but are not clean at all; there is a weird smell in the room and bathroom too. I felt yucky all the time while I was in the room and bathrooms. There are bugs in the room. Rooms do not have enough lights. There was no handsoap in the bathrooms. Elevators are rusty, old, slow, do not dissapoint and have the filthiest smell here too. Staff seems to show no care. Would not come back to this place, and would never recommend this place to anyone.

We picked this resort because it was in close proximity to the Marina where we were fishing out of. The rooms were clean and and the beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge, microwave oven and a coffee maker in the room. NOTE there was no bottled water for the coffee maker. Roll the dice on the water from the vanity. We tried to eat at the restraunt the night we arrived however, no one ever came to the hostess stand. We went to the grill and had dinner there. The food was good. The sweet potato fries were delicious. We did not Swim but there is an excellent pool area and families were having a great time there. Upon check-in they failed to let us know the convienance shop by the front desk is open 24 hours. A resort amenities flyer would have came in handy. The room I was in had a deep tub which you had to step over a 24" tub wall. There are no slip resistant mats in the bathroom be carefull. The body soap dispenser was empty, there was facial bar soap on the vanity.

Positive: I like the indoor pools - (also has 3 outdoor pools) - and I like the location near Eisenhower State Park - Great hiking - Personally, i also like the bathtub which is deep - and there was plenty of hot water even though the hotel was almost full. Negative: A breakfast for maybe half the price they charge would be a big improvement - I think they charge $15 - if they made a buffet breakfast for $7 each, they would have a lot more response - but a Free Breakfast would be great -

Positive: All in one resort. After arrival there was no need to go anywhere else. Great pools and staff. Negative: The main light in the room was out, the tub did not drain properly. The restaurant did not have the same menu that was on the menu on the website page of download able menu pdf.

This is a must read before reserving a room at Tanglewood Resort. My family stayed at Tanglewood “Resort” Saturday 13 July 2024. Multiple standard room vacancies showed up online; however, when we showed up in person, the individual at the front desk stated there were no standard rooms available but, upgrade suits (which were tripled in price) were available. During our interaction, an employee of the company checked in with the front desk manager to confirm a room was clean. When I asked if the clean room was a standard room, the individual at the front desk accused me of calling him dishonest. I chose to purchase the up-charged room not wanting to relocate my family. When we walked into the up-charged room, a family was already occupying the room. This scared the family already occupying the room and was embarrassing, possibly dangerous, for my family. I took my family and baggage back to the front desk, in a different building, and the same man at the front desk stated he wrote the wrong room number on the key card slip even though the key opened the room written on the key slip. The new room had dirty water in the washer and was clogged, ceiling fans were filthy, the patio seats looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks with spiderwebs everywhere, and the bath tub water was a shade of brown after filling so no one got in. Upon checkout the next day, the new front desk individual stated a manager would call me about the full situation and I have yet to receive a call after six days. This place is not up to resort standards if that is what you want for your family. The facilities are dirty and customer service requires much training. Think twice before reserving if you think you want resort treatment.

Where do I begin.
Nothing but honesty.
Hubby and I stayed here on the 5th floor the 27th of June. Was under the influence that there was a jucuzzi tub in the room. Nope just a big bath tub.. k fine we will deal w it. Next we went to the pool. They have 3 different pools! One with a slide, and another one that not even adults can touch in! would have been much better had the disrespectful kids who thought it was cute to bounce the football off people's head and do Canon balls on top of people not been there. So we go to the bar and ask for the parents of theses kids. And they were Mia.. no issue with kids here. We have a few, but mine would NEVER be so disrespectful! Rant over- that's not the hotels fault but the workers not doing anything until the kids ran off all the adults and we went and complain! When we checked out all he said was sorry that happend. I called today to talk to a manager about my rewards not being on my account and our experience what was the answer I got.... sorry.

And as much as I'd like to return. Why would We had sorry anniversary.

Major ant problem, they said it was because of the weather but there is no way this isn’t a known issue. I had to move rooms, the second room was just as bad. They sprayed and left the dead ants where they were.

The meeting room we were in was overrun with ants, and they sprayed and left those dead ants stuck to the wall. There were dozen, and you could see them without being close to the wall.
