It's a nice hotel, the room (junior suite) was big with a couch, a huge balcony and a whirlpool bath. The room safe was included in the price. Prices for the mini bar/fridge were very reasonable.||The location at the port is not pretty but there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and you get nice views of docked cruise ships. A metro station (Duomo) is a 5 min walk away and some of the tourist areas are in walking distance.||Breakfast was lovely but a bit limited. Certainly enough different choices for a good meal to start the day but other hotels I have been at perhaps had a bit more choice.||Staff were all friendly and helpful (with suggestions for nearby restaurants if requested)||In summary, a nice hotel and a good experience.

I’ve literally signed up to trip advisor after years of travelling just to write this review. |1) Mentioned previously …. And I appreciate it’s not the fault of the hotel… however the area in which it’s situated is probably the most unsafe I have stayed and I have travelled (including backpacking) to various countries. |Unfortunately Naples is run down and appears deprived. A quick google would have saved me the visit tbh. |2) As per other reviews this isn’t a 4* hotel. Whilst it’s clean and some of the staff are courteous and friendly. The hotel isn’t dated and the service is more like a 2-3* hotel. |3) Again as per others reviews the WiFi after 5 /6 pm doesn’t work or is at best poor … we stayed for 5 nights and it was like clockwork thankfully I had 25gb data to stream with |4) Shower plug hole was blocked and yes we did mention it at reception but we left and it was still slow draining which meant you were stood in a puddle whilst showering. |5) lastly …. City tax €55 for 5 nights .. potentially my fault for not finding out when booking but it’s the most expensive I’ve come across

I am a little mystified how the hotel has achieved such a high overall rating from reviews. Despite the very helpful staff at reception, especially Oriana, we were disappointed by the mediocre facilities. Our room was quite cramped, particularly the bathroom, and the double glazing failed to adequately exclude the noise from the very busy main road at the front of the hotel. However, the bed was nice and firm and the aircon quietly efficient.|The breakfast offering was poor - more reminiscent of student accommodation with a limited choice of fresh fruit, bread, yogurt etc.

This is not a four star hotel, it’s more like a three star. The lobby, the walk to the lifts, the bar/breakfast area, the rooms are all extremely small and desperately need modernisation. The breakfast was extremely basic. Very few healthy choices. ||Whilst the hotel is in a good location from a few of the Naples highlights, it did not feel safe walking around the area at night. ||The plus side was the most of the staff. Although, the reception staff do not proactively greet you, they are helpful and courteous. Serena and Danilo had a great sense of humour and make amazing coffee at breakfast.

This hotel is a gem. Because we were visiting on my wife’s birthday we were able to upgrade to the junior suite with a terrace overlooking the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Our terrace did not have a table or seats to sit on but the hotel staff promptly brought us up something to sit and relax on. The next morning the young lady at the front desk apologized for not having something out there and told us it was because of safety reasons due to the fact it can get quite windy during the winter months which apparently is late October. The weather was consistently mid 70’s and sunny, which we were told is rare that time of year in Italy . The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh pastries. If you are visiting Naples, stay at this hotel

Hotel is clean, good size room, good location and staff are friendly. |We were wary of the location when we first arrived as didn't look safe and looked like a rough area but it was absolutely fine. We walked to all locations so everywhere was easy to get to.|Breakfast is limited but enough to keep you going.|They made my birthday special. Had birthday wishes from Reception then followed by a slice of birthday cake with candle at breakfast. First hotel that has done that without any prompt from anyone so gave it that extra touch.|I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our first trip to Naples Italy and stayed at Palazzo Salgar as bookends to a MSC Cruise that left from Naples. Oriana and Antonio were very accommodating, friendly and professional host/hostess. I was able to practice my Italian with them for all of our interactions and they both were very encouraging and treated me like a local with a Brooklyn accent. The first 3 nights we were in a beautiful executive suite with views of Vesuvius and Monte Epomeo. The last night before the flight home we were in classic suite. The rooms were very clean and functional. The hotel is ideally centrally located 10-20 minutes walking distance to... ferry terminal -- we took day trip to Ischia, hop on hop off bus close to the port ( see all of Naples with 2 round trip routes ), spacanapoli -- lots of walking, eating, shopping unique Naples ( buy a deck of Neapolitan authentic playing cards at tabacchino... explore Christmas alley, lots of churches, Archeological museum . Only eat the pizza, pastries [baba] and seafood in historical section as anywhere near the port are for tourists.

The hotel is clean and the beds large and pretty comfortable. The rooms are very basic, no coffee/kettle or bottled water provided. The hotel is very loud with traffic from nearby roads and other guests/staff. Breakfast is ok with not much variety. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to most popular tourist attractions. The hotel is dated and needs to be modernised, however the staff are polite and friendly.
