We stayed a couple of nights at Kalahari Resorts over a December weekend. We had made reservations a few days ahead of time.They kept us updated about the checking process etc. by text and emails. Check in was quite easy using their kiosks. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at different restaurants at the hotel. Food was quite good. The grand children spent their time at the water park and playing at variety of machines. They had a lot of fun. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

I will NEVER spend another dime at Great Wolf Lodge! Lol. This place was absolutely amazing. The rooms were beautiful and modern. The resort as a whole was huge, very well maintained, and clean. I couldn't believe all of the restaurants, stores, activities, etc this place had to offer!! We spent Christmas here and it was the best decision we made. We definitely plan to visit this location again as well as the others. Thank you for an amazing Christmas!

We spent our Christmas at Kalahari this year and had an amazing time. There is something for everyone between the shopping, water park, arcade/amusement park, beautiful art and a couple bars to grab an adult drink. As a plus size person; I really appreciated that all of the seating was “big girl” friendly. Comfortable and accommodating. It is a large resort so everything is spread out but there are many places a long the way to stop to look at the beautiful art, have a drink, grab a snack, or just take a load off your feet. The adult only Grotto hot tub was very relaxing and a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of all the kids. The vibe is very chill and relaxing. Our room was very nice. Full sized toiletries so you don’t even have to worry if you forgot something. The beds were comfortable and there are several thermostats to adjust the temperature for different rooms of the suit so everyone stays comfortable. If you go ~ the breakfast buffet is a must. They have everything! It’s hot and fresh and the wait staff is very attentive. We felt welcome by the whole staff, the entire time. It is an expensive vacation but when you consider the value of ~ it is well worth it. Our family of 14 got the presidential suit, 2 days of the water park (included with the stay) and 2 days of the Tom Foolery arcade ~ as well as everyone having the breakfast buffet for just over $2,000. If we had went anywhere else we would have paid just as much ~ without half of the entertainment.

Overall ~ loved the time we spent there and we will be making a trip back!

Where do I begin?
About a month ago we drove to Dallas from Austin to Great Wolf Lodge. We directly compared our recent stay at Great Wolf for Thanksgiving to our stay at Kalahari for NYE with that hotel. This hotel has it all and then some. From friendly staff and service, to clean and pristine facilities, to a dedication to serving less fortunate with their partnership with Charity Water. Why don’t more hotels do this?! Its genius! I felt I vacationed with my family and served a small purpose.

We will be back and we’re telling all of our friends!

The rooms we had (rented 4 because our whole family came for Christmas) were great! The resort was great. Service is a whole different story. I checked to make sure that my family could arrive before I would arrive and be able to check in. I was told yes (and if Kalahari denies this I will post the text message pics.) My family had to pay before being allowed to enter. Not only pay for a one night stay which is over 400 for one night but they also had to pay a 200 (just in case you mess up the room charge.) Very annoying considering I was on my way there when they called about this issue. The front desk did not care even though they had small children and over 50% had been paid already. They do not finalize your bill until you leave. My family paid for that, whatever they charges to their rooms went to their credit cards. No! They went to my debit card. We put the snacks from the room in the safe. I tried to let the housekeeping staff know we had done this, so we would not incurred any charges. No one spoke English. The housekeeping manager said she did not speak English. The man that was trying to clean my sister in laws room was told "not now, her son (1 year old) was napping. He did not understand anything she said. This placeis nice. But we will not be returning. We ate at Texas Roadhouse one night and it was 210 for 12 people (no alcohol.) A steak at the resort was 210. I believe it was a porterhouse tbone. We loved the parks and games,but service for such high prices was just unacceptable.

My overall stay at the Kalahari resort was a top of the line experience of which I will never forget. This huge hotel has a water park, amusement park, convention center, multiple restaurants! There are tons of things to do, you can even go bowling! The rooms are really clean and the options for food are endless. I love the fact that it is African themed, it is really clever and something you won't find anywhere else. My only complaint is the kiosks, the system they have for those suck. It must be really frustrating going to order food on a kiosk and it have you restart your order due to a bug, order it again, then realize that you paid for two meals (this never happened to us but I'm sure it has happened before.)

Great value for all the amenities. The only negative I had was the EV charging is a little extreme. They make you pay for valet and then charge you 15$to charge your ev. It cost less than 30 dollars to get a full charge at a Tesla charger. I did not even ask if it was a level 2 or not. Regardless, they should at least have some other options to utilize their charging station.

My family and I just returned from an incredible weekend getaway at the kalahari resort, and we can't wait to go back! This resort truly has something for everyone.

The indoor water park was an absolute blast for our kids (and let's be honest, us adults too!). The variety of slides, wave pool, and lazy river kept them entertained for hours. We were impressed by the cleanliness and safety of the water park area, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and a clean, modern bathroom. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and accommodating, from check-in to checkout. Would we return? Absolutely!
