Hotel Miravalle - Sauze d'Oulx, Città Metropolitana di Torino

Prenotiamo all'hotel Sauze per una quattro giorni sulla neve a Pasqua. Ci spostano qui, al Miravalle. infatti la società di gestione è la stessa (ABC gestioni) che ha in mano 18 alberghi in val di Susa oltre a parecchi rifugi. L'impressione iniziale non è buona: le camere (due) che ci danno, all'ultimo piano, sono piuttosto tristi (arredi datati, impressione di generale disattenzione ai particolari), in una delle due c'è un'insistente puzza di fogna. I materassi sono di tipo super-economico ed il mio è addirittura girato sotto-sopra. Risultato: prima notte d'inferno con le molle del materasso che torturano la schiena. La porta della nostra camera non sta chiusa, se non chiudendo a chiave. Dalla tromba delle scale sale una puzza di cloro probabilmente dovuta alla SPA situata nel seminterrato. Il personale è in numero moto ridotto e poco riconoscibile (niente divisa), tanto che alla reception a volte non si trova nessuno. Nulla da dire sulla posizione, se non che si può trovare di meglio. Il giorno dopo ci rechiamo in centro per acquistare lo skypass (nota: muovetevi per tempo, perché l'acquisto è estremamente lento essendoci un solo sportello in piazza) e recarci sulle piste. Raggiungiamo l'hotel Sauze, dove lasceremo la nostra attrezzatura. Qui ci rendiamo conto che ci conveniva rifiutare il cambio: il Sauze sembra messo molto meglio e soprattutto ristrutturato di recente. Sulle piste da sci nulla da dire: bellissime. Sul ristorante non saprei cosa dire, visto che ci abbiamo cenato una sola volta (cena gentilmente offerta dalla direzione e questa è stata una piacevole sorpresa!). Colazione abbondante e variata. Essendo la clientela prevalentemente inglese (come in tutta Sauze) la colazione è di tipo inglese e potete trovare ottimo bacon e uova (cosa non da poco). Personale piuttosto anonimo, ne gentile ne scontroso. Dovessi tornare qui, opterei per l'hotel Sauze comunque.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Sauze! The location is perfect, a short walk to the ski hire and lift and very close to the centre/ pubs and bars/apres. It has been newly refurbished throughout and the bedrooms are perfect for what you need on a skiing holiday. The selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was exceptional. The best part of the whole experience were the lovely staff (a special thanks to Nino and Marco) who looked after us so well during our week there. They also include a shuttle service bus which takes you from the hotel to where you need to go, and also have a ski locker you can use downstairs! The whole experience was just faultless and such good value for money.

Lovely hotel with brilliant staff. The waiters and waitresses especially were always polite and quick to clear tables and bring drinks. We arrived late and were a little disappointed with the platter they left in our room however other than this, we couldn’t fault the food. Every evening we got a great menu and the food on the piste as part of our full board was lovely. A little simple but more than enough to see us through the afternoon, and a great location at the Sportina lift. The rooms were modern and clean, with a great Mountain View. We didn’t use the ski store room but we did look at it, and it had plenty of space. The bar was cosy and we enjoyed the selection of board games they have. The shuttle to Sportina was great! We used this most days. We did also walk to Clotes once. It’s a little uphill but no more than a 10 min walk. This part of the town is nice and quiet, but not too far from the Apres bars, which you have to walk past anyway to get back to the hotel. The buses did a stop off directly at our hotel rather than leaving us at tourist info, which was great for transfers and trips

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Miravalle, all of the staff were extremely friendly and the room was kept very clean and tidy.

Special mention to Nino, Marco and Andrea, these guys made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough to help.

Really nice Hotel. Good service and everything you need from a Ski Hotel. From Roby on the bus and Manuel on the Bar all do the part to make things work. Easy transfers with Crystal to and from resort...everything ready and pretty slick. The key question is would I go back to this hotel, team and location and this is a 100% Yes. Looking forward to next year.

Oct 2024 Update, so good we have booked for March 2025, nice and early as we do not want to miss out on this particular hotel.

Hotel referb good, Robbie and his mini bus great staff good and very polite, But Hotel lacks facilities no sauna etc. even no ski boot drying facilities availble so wet boots cold boots every day not a good start to the day. Rooms very small with no furniture so living out of a suit case all week, on the plus side Bathroom very nice. FOOD totally unsuitable for children and most adults mainly raw meets and cold veg with a tiny amount of pasta served on cold plates, thats your evening meal. Breakfast consists of cake a few corn flakes if they have any left,cold meats toast and cold dry scambled egg. Not to forget bring your own tea bags if you like English Tea.|The Hotel is in a nice postion with great views down the valley it does have potential at the edge of the old town but needs more home comforts sauna hot tub etc. in room furniture and most of all needs a totaly new menu suitable for the British market and to refuel hungry holiday maker.

We stayed at Hotel Miravalle in Feb 2024 and had the best week. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, on the small side but we had fabulous Mountain views. ||The breakfast buffet was plentiful and we loved the evening meals which consisted of a starter buffet, pasta course (choice of 2) and main course (choice of 2). The food was excellent quality and very fresh. The lunch vouchers were great, we only tried Campanna Kind by Spotinia lift but were very impressed with the portion of pasta, though the restaurant gets very busy at lunchtime.||The shuttle bus to and from Sportinia lift was ideal and meant we didn’t have to walk anywhere with our skis. The hotel and bar/restaurant staff were very friendly and happy to help. The bar prices were reasonable and the happy hour cocktails were great. Overall we would happily stay again.
