I’ve been visiting this place since the early 90s and have witnessed many transformations over the years. However, I truly appreciate the improvements that management has implemented in recent years. The upgraded modern rooms, the new expansion of the hot springs, and the enhanced walkways are all fantastic additions. While I do miss the quieter, less commercialized atmosphere of the past, I always enjoy our annual visit!

I’d give it a better rating if they were honest about their “4-star” hotel.

It’s honestly a 3 star. It’s a comfortable, basic amenity hotel. While sure the hot springs is an upscale amenity, that’s it.

They say breakfast is included. However, you do also have to walk to the hot spring lobby to eat, and the food is heated upon order instead of sitting in the metal serving trays at other hotels. There’s nothing special about it, and we actually ended up tossing our food and going out for breakfast instead.

Additionally, we did have the unfortunate stay when the AC was out. They called ahead to ask if we still wanted to proceed with our reservation, which we did.
We thought we’d be fine with the screen door open, but sadly our door was broken, so we had 0 ventilation. The smell was so awful, we purposefully got up early to depart, rather than have a leisurely morning.

It’s not a terrible hotel, if you know what to expect. It would just be nice if they were more transparent and not try to oversell.

The Lodge itself was nice, the beds were comfy and everything was clean. Our biggest complaint was not having WiFi in our room. Seems like something basic in 2024, especially when paying $400 per night. ||The pools are also amazing, we spent time in each of them and enjoyed all of the unique water features. The cold plunge was especially memorable. If I went again, however, I would probably stay somewhere cheaper and just buy a day pass to the pools. ||The Grill gets our biggest complaint. We had our complimentary breakfast on the morning of our checkout. They were just sausage, egg muffins from McDonalds. Not terrible but again for the price I expected a bit more. What really ruined the experience, however, was the rude cashier who took our order. She seemed annoyed to be there even by 8am, and got even more irritated when she misunderstood our food order. We even heard her making comments to her coworkers as we walked away. I regret not confronting her directly.

The room was lovely and clean. It’s about a 3 minute walk across the street to the hot springs. The staff was great. Yes, the ac was off but it is fall in the mountains. Our room temperature was great with the windows open and the fan on. The walk to town is a nice perk so we didn’t have to drive. They are doing renovations in the lodge so parts are closed for construction and we did get a brisk 7am fire alarm wake up call. It will be really nice when it’s all done.

We visited in the third week of October after they had apparently shut down the AC for the year, which made our room a little warm overnight but not terrible. They're in the middle of updating all of the rooms, which are extremely dated, and the workers were banging hammers and drills and pulling network cable through our hallway all day, but if you're there for the hot pools you don't really care. Parking was quite convenient right outside the back of the building, and unlimited access to the pools is the big perk. Breakfast down by the pools was not much to write home about and a little inconvenient, but if you're going straight to the pools anyway it doesn't matter too much since you're right there. Overall probably overpriced compared to other hotels in town unless you think unlimited pool access is priceless. Might be a different story after the rooms are all updated.

Great visit. Loved the room and the pools, including the 6 new ones. I would love to pass this way again. The short walk over the bridge led to lots of nice restaurants. The old photos in the well-lit hallways were fun to look at. All of the staff were really friendly and said hello when we passed in the halls.

This is an old and historic hotel. It is in much need of updating which is happening now. Unfortunately this means that some of the rooms are very shabby and furniture very worn. During our stay there was constant noise form the renovation - drilling hammering etc. We were given a discount after complaining but should have been advised of this work which would probably have led us elsewhere.||Having said that the ability to access the hot spring baths was great and very convenient. I feel sure the resort will be much better after the renovation next summer (2025).||Breakfast in the hot springs cafe was not great.||Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful

Glenwood Hot Springs is our happy place. We go there at least once a year, and the improvements they've made since our last visit are outstanding. Love, love, love the new smaller mineral pools for cooling off and hanging out. We haven't managed to time it right for the lazy river to be open, but hope to one of these times. ||These hot springs are some of the best, in my opinion. It does feel like a big commercial operation at first. But, you just find your place to hang out, chat with the locals or keep to yourself, and the options to move between pools and places to relax and read in the sun or the shade makes the hours fly by.
