The ski resort is great! We didn't stay at the resort itself, but we came to the mountains for a few days of snowboarding/snowmobile. It's a lovely place full of cozy restaurants and amenities. All staff interactions (from tour guides to ski lift operators) were extremely pleasant and you can tell that they care about their guests safety. It's a great place for the whole family!

Did not stay at the resort but bought snowboarding passes and rentals for the day. I am a super beginner for snowboarding. I tried to buy the snowboard lesson but they had a typo, I am so glad I called before trying to buy it. It said “ Adult Snowboard Beginner PM Group Lesson
For Beginners Only! Available for guests ages 13 and over. Lesson from 9:30am-12:00pm.” But really it was from 1-3:30pm which did not work with my schedule. So I was in my own, when I saw their “bunny hill” I was super intimidated. It was nothing like the one I remember when I was a kid. It has its own lift and I even asked a staff member to make sure I was at the bunny hill. I eventually made my way down to the bottom where I was able to walk up a little bit and feel comfortable with that distance to test out the snowboarding. My boyfriend went on the bigger lift and it didn’t stop anywhere but the top of the mountain. He said he wasn’t used to that with the other locations for snowboarding he’s gone to. The rental department was really great and personable. If you feel comfortable leaving your shoes they let you under the bench in the rental area so you don’t have to get a locker. They said they do have a new computer system so make sure to have your email confirmation up just till they get that all down pat. The parking was easy and the bus took you to where you need to be. We did not wait long for the bus to come take us back to our car. In the picture is the way end of the bunny hill- the moving carpet is not in use.

Didn’t stay at the resort, but just across the street. Bought summer activity passes for my kids and I. So worth it! Honestly, one of the best value day pass I’ve ever bought. Lovely day. Staff was super helpful with the kids on and off the chair lift. The panning for gems activity was a surprise hit with the kids. Will go back!

Did not spend the night. Went there for a day of summer fun & that is exactly what we had! $49 gets you unlimited fun from 10a to 5p. The views from the chair lifts are unmatched. Ate at the pizza place - wings & pizza were great! Out server was awesome. Would have given 5 stars, but Purgatory does not give a veterans discount which, in my opinion is disappointing (& I'm not even a vet, but was with a friend who is).

AMAZING ski resort, in the summer and winter! For skiing, not very crowded even on the weekends and tons of amazing, scenic runs. Lots of different levels of runs with plenty for everyone. My lesson this past winter was awesome, my instructor was very helpful for my first time snowboarding. In the summer, the alpine slide and roller coaster were not crowded and very fun for a reasonable price. I would much prefer Purgatory to other Front Range mountain resorts such as Breck, Vail, Keystone, Copper, etc. Much less crowded with just as beautiful and amazing runs and activities.

We didn’t stay there but we got summer day pass. We enjoyed the experience.

The operation hours for summer day pass is till 5. We purchased the ticket around 3:40 but was able to complete one ride for each: scenic chairlift, slide and coaster.

After we completed the coaster exactly at 5, the staff said although the lane is closed, since we only had the first ride, he was willing to let us take another ride. We really appreciate his kindness.

Other staffs I interacted with are also nice. The lady at ticket office was also helpful. Since we arrived close to the closing time, she checked the waiting time of coaster and slide for us to ensure we get our bang for buck.

The boarding and boating( included in the day pass) is partnered with 3rd party. Before we purchased the ticket, we called and specifically asked about operation hours. The guy told us it’s open till 5:30. But when we arrived at 5:05 the guy said they are done for the day. This is a bit unfortunate but the lake is pretty.

Very fun! Rooms are very clean and the park was clean. The only complaint I have is we came across a bear while mountain biking, but the park can’t do anything about that. The summer day pass is a hit , also go try out Twilight lake kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Definitely recommend!

Peaceful and quiet. Not much for food in the area and it's 30 mins to Durango for supplies so stock up before you arrive. No single for the Alpine slide but found out you have to pay $50 for the whole day pass. Had to disappoint the little ones since $250 for 5 people to ride once is outrageous. They weren't busy so not sure of the business plan here. Maybe staffing issues but what could have been a $100 single ride for 5 people and very little cost to the park, since that's the cost of a single lift up, turned into nothing. Just wasted our time, employees time and the clean air around us. Most of the staff had a care free attitude and just seemed out of it. Maybe it's good in the winter but the price point during summer doesn't equal the stay.
